Art In The Park, 2018
The Kamloops Printmakers Society is a non-profit organization that provides studio facilities for artists working in print based media. The studio is equipped through the generous contribution of the society members, and provides a wide range of facilities for print-based art practice including etching, screen-printing, and relief prints.
The Kamloops Printmakers’ Society has been active since October 2007 and is the only printmaking cooperative in the interior of British Columbia. The society is a non-profit organization that provides studio opportunities for artists to continue to work in print based media. The society came about in response to a need seen by alumni of the TRU (Thompson Rivers University) Bachelor of Fine Arts program to provide opportunities to artists to develop as printmakers without leaving the region.
