Artist Statement

My ongoing research is an examination of events I have observed during time spent away from cities during periods of mourning and grief. These times of being “away” have helped me develop the visual language I use to draw out parallels I see between wilderness and human existence. My research is executed through the translation of photographic images into photopolymer gravure, woodcuts, monoprint transfers, silkscreen and digital prints.
